POINTS AWARDS

Our 2017 Points Awards Party will be held at Onley Grounds EC on Sunday 26th November 2017. Full details can be found here.

NEW FOR 2017!! A 'Q&A session' will be held prior to the party which will give members the chance to quiz the committee and Council members on anything BSPS related! 

The points awards are open to all BSPS Area 17 members. Members can accrue points from their placings at BSPS shows throughout 2017, points are added up at the end of the season and the prizes are presented at our end of year points party. 

Collect points from the 12th March - 15th October 2017 inclusive.  

Please use separate forms for each class entered or for different pony/rider combinations.  The classes in which you can enter are stated further down this page.

RULES

BSPS CLASSES ONLY. The ONLY exception to this is the RIHS M&M WHP and M&M HOYS classes.

So all open HOYS and RIHS qualifiers in all open sections are eligible!

1. PONIES MUST BE RIDDEN BY BSPS AREA 17 MEMBERS

2. PONIES MUST BE OWNED, LOANED OR LEASED BY BSPS AREA 17 MEMBERS. This does not include ‘jockeying’ ponies out of the area for producers.

3. TEN RESULTS FROM THE SEASON ONLY – pick your best!

4. 1st – 6th results ONLY, champion and reserve champion placings do not count

5.All open or novice BSPS qualifiers (plus all relevant HOYS and RIHS qualifiers) are eligible, from 12th March to the 15th October 2017 inclusive.  A full list of sections is below.

6. 1st – 6th PLACINGS IN APPROPRIATE CLASSES AT THE  R.I.H.S and H.O.Y.S  ARE ELIGIBLE

7. PRETTY POLLY CLASSES/QUALIFIERS DO NOT COUNT – highest placed home produced members will be presented with prizes in each section – please indicate on your entry form if you are home produced. 

8. THE FOLLOWING CLASSES AT THE 2017 BSPS SUMMER, WINTER and HERITAGE CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE ELIGIBLE: open classes/finals, premier league finals, Blue Riband finals, challenge finals, Olympia Semi-finals, Champion of Champion finals and novice classes.

9. Burghley Gold Cup Sports Pony results do not count.

Double points to be awarded at: 

BSPS Area 17 Spring Show, NPS Area 13, BSPS Winter Championships, Blakesley Show, BSPS Summer Championships, BSPS Heritage Championships.

Bonus points to those who qualify for HOYS, RIHS or OLYMPIA

The awards will be competed in the following categories – please indicate which section you are competing in on each form:

Minis (plaited) - lead rein, first ridden, SHP lead rein, SHP first ridden

Show pony - mixed height novice, open 128cms, open 138cms, open 148cms 

Show hunter pony - mixed height novice, open 122cms, open 133cms, open 143cms, open 153cms 

Intermediate: mixed novice, open small ISRT, open large ISRT, open ISHT

Part bred arab: mixed height novice, open small PBA, open large PBA

Working hunter pony - mixed height novice, open cradle stakes, open nursery stakes, open 133cms, open 143cms, open 153cms, open intermediate

Heritage mini - lead rein, first ridden

Heritage open - mixed novice, small breeds, welsh A/B, large breeds, connemara/NF, welsh C/D

Heritage WHP - mixed height novice, open 122cms, open 133cms, open 143cms, open exc. 143cms
